Customers Don’t Care What Year You Were Invented!

Stop starting your presentations talking about YOU.

Customers HATE this.

Conventional wisdom (and many marketing slide decks) start off with a thorough history of the company, with every excruciating detail of what year it was invented, what the name used to be, etc.

Don't do this. Don't be like everyone else. Instead, start the presentation talking about THE CUSTOMER!!

Tell them what you learned when you did your discovery. What THEIR problems are, and then transition into how your products and solutions will solve all their problems.

Those first 5 minutes are crucial. Use them wisely.
