Cold Call GOLD!

I took a call from a vendor this morning.

I timed it, and they spoke for 1 minute and 26 seconds straight before they gave me a chance to say anything.

They were actually very polite, and did a good job explaining what they were selling, but 1 minute and 26 seconds is a LONG time to sit and wait to reply.

It made me realize that I've never timed my OWN intro. They vary, of course, depending on which product, which customer, etc. but I did time it, and my intros can be as short as 7 seconds, or as long as 20 seconds.

Have you ever timed YOUR intro to a customer?

✅ Ask a simple question (Is X product on your radar at all? OR Are you familiar with us at all?)
✅ Silence to give them time to think and answer
