Don’t Make These EASY Cold Email Mistakes!

In the past 6 months, I received 121 cold emails from people trying to sell me something. 📪

And I noticed something really important.

MOST of the cold emails I got were trying to sell me stuff that I would NEVER need or want, or they were done SO poorly, that it made me assume that all cold emails were a waste of my time.

This is a shame, since it makes it so much harder for a legit sales person.

Don't get me wrong. I REALLY respect the hustle, because I've been there and I still sell my services every day, but the reality is, we as salespeople can and MUST do better.

I saved all these emails so I could really dissect them, and here are the grim stats:

👉 Only TWO of those 121 emails had researched me at all. Those two really stood out. 🤩
👉 More than a dozen accidentally messed up, and instead of using my name, they greeted me with "Hello Unknown" 🙈
👉 Only nine of them had subject lines with three words or less. All 118 other emails had four or more words in the subject line (which is shown to dramatically reduce the success of emails)

My stats are in line with what all the purchasing, managers, C-Suite have been telling me for years in my research.

The good news for YOU, is that if you take your time, and hone your craft, you can stand out SO easily. 🌈

Be the rep who write emails that are personalized, who writes emails that aren't too long, and the one who uses good, effective subject lines.

If you do it right, you'll stand out. A lot.
