Relationships Take Patience - Here’s Why
Did you know research shows that most sales reps give up after just a few tries?
They don't want to be seen as a "pest".
Here's the thing: it's all about the long-term relationship. It takes patience to build and here's how you do it:
👉 Let them get off the phone if they say they're busy. Immediately. None of this, "I'm sorry to bother you, it's just that I was calling because..."
👉 If they ask you to call back in a week, do it. If they ask you to call back in an hour, set a timer. Be reliable.
👉 Don't give up. It usually takes 8 attempts before a prospect is ready to talk to you. It's all about the timing and the relationship. One day a compelling event will come along (or you can create one) and BAM. Suddenly you're in the right place at the right time. It might have taken months or even years of carefully and patiently building a relationship, but it WILL pay off.
Relationships take patience. Period.
