Are You Scaring Customers?
You might be scaring customers if you're asking these kinds of questions:
👉 What is your budget?
👉 What is your timeline?
👉 Who are the decision-makers?
Sure, we need that info. But, we can't just come out and ask it like that, or the customer might clam up and decide that we're not trust-worthy and we're just out for the sale.
Instead, soften the question. Like this:
✅ Will anyone else be involved in the process?
✅ Is new equipment on your radar at all?
✅. Is this a project you're wanting to get moving on pretty quickly?
See the difference? You'll get the same answers, which you (and ultimately your management team) need, but you don't risk scaring the customer away with your "pushiness".
How do you handle these qualifying questions?
